HISTORY OF THE „VOLDEMĀRS” COMPANY

The wholesales company „VOLDEMĀRS” was founded in Riga, on the 17th of 1992. Company at the beginning of the business started to offer its customers very different kinds of cheese. The sales business was successful and the assortment has been increased with more new kinds of products.

In 1996 „VOLDEMĀRS” company registered the first company trademark „VALDO” and at this moment we offer more then 18 kinds food foodstuffs with this label. Later we made a new brand „TAUTAS” and „DRAUGU”. We offer with trademark „TAUTAS” and „VALDO” very different kinds of beans, rice, salt, flour and other more different kinds of products like this. But brand „DRAUGU” includes different kinds of chocolate, straw, the sticks of the maize greads and other different kinds of sweet!
One of the chief company goals is to produce healthy and quality products for Latvian customers. Latvian customers trust us and it shows our company neto turnover in 2000: it was 7 949 610 Ls, but in 2001: it was 8 987 801 Ls (1 EUR = 0.6280 Ls, 25.02.2003.)

At the same time „VOLDEMĀRS” company offers high service quarranty: for example we insure to supply the products even more distant areas in Latvia. The reflection of that is the fact that our customer number is growing year by year. At this moment it's about 4000. Our clients are very different: there are trade business and public catering, schools and kindergarten, wholesales companies and manufacturer etc. And our business partners are in Estonia, Lithuania, German, France, Vietnam, Belgium, India, Spain and other countries.

In 1999 „VOLDEMĀRS” company in Lithuania founded daughter company „VALDO PREKYBA” who businesses are wholesale and packing as in Latvia.

In 2002 „VOLDEMĀRS” company started new direction of business, we built one of the biggest logistic and office center – warehouse complex (the area of warehouse occupies 7 886 m², office area 720 m², but warehouse capacity is 12 572 EUR palette). This place is a new location for our company and address is: Street Skaistkalnes 3, Riga, LV – 1004.

On 10th of September, Year 2003 new and modern Office Centre has been opened at the Bauskas Street. The total area of this complex is 12 000m². There are 800 parking places and cold stores in cellarage. 11560m² of the total area are being rented out for office premises. The centre consists of two united buildings with nine floors. Modern, high level offices are available, starting from area of 18m². Average area of the floor is 840m².

Since our company has been found, in the time of the 12 yeras, the number of employees is growing – from 4 people at the beginning to 200 now.
